Content that was not converting
Although the site already had a fair amount of content, many landing pages and articles were poorly structured and lacked CTAs. Visitors arrived on the site, but rarely converted into actual enquiries.
Two salons in central Copenhagen: how we first made the website better at turning visitors into enquiries — then scaled visibility.

The results
Fonnesbek Hair runs two salons in central Copenhagen — one on Studiestræde in København K and one on Falkoner Allé in Frederiksberg. The partnership with acend has been running for 2 years, with SEO as its core foundation, but with conversion optimisation as an early and crucial part of the work.
During the partnership, monthly enquiries to the two salons have risen from around 350 to 1.400 — an increase of 300%. At the same time, the total number of users on the site has grown from 250 to 2.400 per month, an increase of 860%. The fact that enquiries have grown even faster than traffic itself is directly linked to the early decision to address how the site actually converted visitors.
Traffic + better conversion — not traffic alone.

The problem
Fonnesbek Hair already had content and an established website, but three areas were limiting its potential.
01
Although the site already had a fair amount of content, many landing pages and articles were poorly structured and lacked CTAs. Visitors arrived on the site, but rarely converted into actual enquiries.
02
Many relevant, more specific searches — for particular hairstyles, techniques and hair types — did not have their own landing page, even though the demand was there.
03
With locations in both Copenhagen K and Frederiksberg, the work needed to target both areas specifically, rather than rely on general visibility for a single brand.

The solution
We began with an initial keyword analysis and reviewed the existing content and organic performance to see what was already working and where the gaps were.
We quickly realised that conversion optimisation was needed before more traffic would make any difference. Many landing pages and articles were structured incorrectly, so we quickly implemented CTAs and rearranged content to turn the visitors already coming to the site into actual enquiries.
Before
After
The focus has primarily been on building new landing pages for long-tail keywords and optimising existing content based on search intent and keywords, rather than putting everything into broad, competitive head terms.
We have put considerable effort into new informational blog posts — covering everything from balayage and extensions to wolf cuts and mullet hairstyles — which consistently bring in enquiries while positioning Fonnesbek Hair as experts in the latest hairstyle trends.

We have also worked on the core SEO activities: internal linking, technical fixes, schema markup and correct use of metadata across the site.
The partnership
Our partnership with Fonnesbek Hair has been running for 2 years, with an approach that has evolved along the way — from the initial overview and conversion optimisation early in the process to the continued expansion of landing pages and blog content in line with what the data has shown works best for the two salons.
